How we can help
We can offer a range of forbearance arrangements to support you with your circumstances, for example, temporary payment arrangements or breathing space. We will make sure any payment arrangements are suitable and affordable for you and we will never ask you to pay more than you can afford.
To help us agree the most suitable arrangement with you we may ask you for information or documentation. What we ask for depends on the type of support you need. If you are not comfortable in providing the information we ask for, let us know and we will do what we can to support you. Our support will be more suitable for you if you do provide the information, you are asked for.
Missing Payments
We report missed or late payments on your credit file. Credit file reports remain for six years. Other lenders will be able to see your credit file and may consider the information on your credit file when deciding whether to offer you credit.
Missed payments may indicate to other lenders that you are struggling financially, and this may lead to your application being rejected or you being offered more expensive credit.
Voluntary Termination
If you have a regulated hire purchase agreement, Section 99 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974 allows you to terminate this agreement at any time. You will have to have paid or have to pay 50% of the total amount repayable as shown on your hire purchase agreement. You will also no longer be able to use the asset and must return the asset to us.
To find out more about voluntary termination please contact us on the details above.
Fraud & Scams
We are aware of scams involving individuals being offered loans for an advanced upfront fee by organisations posing as financial services businesses. We will never ask you to pay us an up-front fee before you have an agreement with us and would not approach you directly requesting payment of a fee. If you think you have been victim of such a scam, please contact your bank immediately and report it to Action Fraud.
You can contact Action Fraud on 0300 123 2040 or by visiting their website www.actionfraud.police.uk.
