Background
The Financial Conduct Authority have announced their final rules in relation to a motor commission redress scheme.
For agreements taken between 1st April 2014 and 1st November 2024, the scheme will go live on 30th June 2026.
For Agreements taken between 6th April 2007 and 31st March 2014, the scheme will go live on 31st August 2026.
What you should know
- You do not need to contact Arkle in relation to any complaint, we will contact you in line with the applicable timelines if you are owed redress.
- If you have already complained to us about commissions, we will respond to you and let you know whether you are owed redress or not.
- The scheme is only applicable to regulated motor finance agreements e.g. cars, vans, motorbikes. Unregulated agreements are not in scope of the redress scheme.
- Arkle has never operated discretionary commission models or tied arrangements within its regulated lending portfolio.
- You do not need to use a claims management company (CMC) or law firm to raise a complaint.
